DESCRIPTION:I have had the pleasure of being invited for a presentation during an international conference taking place in the Grassi Museum of Leipzig\, celebrating the anniversary of Paul de Wit\, a pioneer in the Early Music movement in the 19th century. The topics of this conference are : the role of instrumental collections in the early stages of the Early Music movement\, and the introduction of standard pitch. My paper\, entitled “The Horn of the 19th Century : Modern Considerations on The Role of Instrumental Collections and Pitch” will cover both of these subjects. More details soon !
