Horn Duets in Rijksmuseum Amsterdam – Embach celebration
December 14 @ 19:30 – 20:00 CET
In October 2026, the Rijksmuseum of Amsterdam acquired a rare instrument : a natural horn made c1820 by Ludwig Embach, bohemian manufacturer based in Amsterdam in the early 19th century. This horn is a unique testimony of Dutch instrumental manufacture from 200 years ago.
To celebrate this acquisition, horn player Stefan Blonk and myself will play duets together in the auditorium of the museum, using this beautiful Embach horn ! This small concert will conclude the presentation of the KOG Thesis Prize.
Program : Mozart, Duvernoy, and the rare Clapisson duets edited by myself.
