There was applause and great storms of enthusiasm for the “Paris Symphony” at its premiere in the French capital in 1778 – no wonder: Mozart had done everything he could to precisely meet the audience’s taste with surprise effects and carefully placed stylistic devices. Finely differentiated brass voices and divided strings ensure particularly rich timbres – just like in the symphonies KV 319 and KV 338. They were created following the trip to Paris and Salzburg and summarize the impressions of the tour. A real feast for the ears in these 3 concerts, in the Mozart series of Folkwang Kammerorchester Essen !
